Weeping for the dead

The Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) narrated: It is not proper for a believer to mourn a dead person for more than three days. However, the period of mourning for widow is four months and ten days, during which she should not wear colourful garments, use no perfume and should not adorn herself. [Tirmizi, Bukhari, Mishkat]
