Wishing death is forbidden

Hadrat Anas (Radi Allahu Ta’ala Anhu) narrated ALLAH’s Messenger (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) as saying, “None of you must wish for death when he is afflicted by evil circumstances, but if he cannot help doing so he should say:

“O ALLAH, give me life as long life is better for me, and take me when death is better for me.” [Bukhari, Muslim]
