Ways of The Prophet (S.A.W)

Hadrat Abdullah bin Amr (Radi Allahu Ta’ala Anhu) narrated that the Messenger of ALLAH (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, “The major sins are associating other objects of worship with ALLAH, disobedience to parents, murder and deliberate perjury”. [Bukhari]
Hadrat Safwan bin Assal (Radi Allahu Ta’ala Anhu) narrated in a long tradition that ALLAH’s Messenger (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Saliam) said, “... do not bring any innocent person before a ruler in order that he may put him to death, do not use magic, [Tirmizi, Abu Dawood, Nasai]
In addition to the sins mentioned in the above traditions, warnings of severe punishment have been received in respect of the following acts of disobedience:
- Laughing at some one scornfully.
- Taunting some one.
- Calling some one with a nick-name. (that is disliked by him)
- Casting aspersion on any body.
- Searching some one’s faults.
- Reproaching some one without reason.
- Backbiting.
- Being two - faced. (Saying something to one person and something to another)
- Imputation.
- Making one feel ashamed.
- Being happy on some one’s misfortune.
- Being proud.
- Oppression.
- Failure to help inspite of capability
- Causing damage to someone’s property.
- Disgracing someone.
- Failure to pity the down trodden.
- Disrespecting the elders.
- Not helping the needy properly.
- Breaking the ties of relationship due to any worldly affair.
- Making pictures of living beings.
- Claiming hereditary tenancy.
- Giving alms to a healthy person.
- Shaving / Cutting beard.
- Dressing like unbelievers / evildoers.
- Adopting male’s fashion (dress etc.) by women, e.g. wearing shoes intended for male fashions by women. There are many other acts of disobedience which should be avoided and in case these have been committed, one should repent and resolve not to comit these sins and seek ALLAH’s pardon.
