Abstinence from sin

Hadrat Numan bin Bashir (Radi Allahu Ta’ala Anhu) narrated ALLAH’s Messenger (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) as saying, “What is lawful is clear and what is unlawful is clear, but between them are certain doubtful things which many people do not recognize. He who guards against doubtful things will refrain from clearly sinful acts, but he who falls into doubtful things is very likely to fall into what is clearly unlawful. ALLAH’s preserve is the things He has declared unlawful. (in which no one is allowed to enter, and to enter in it is unlawful). Any animal which pastures near the forbidder area is likely to enter it. [Mishkat, Hayat -ul- Muslimeen]
