True love of ALLAH and His Messenger

Hadrat Abdur Rahman bin Abu Qurad (Radi Allahu Ta’ala Anhu) narrated that the Prophet performed ablution one day and his companions began to wipe themselves with the water he had used. The Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) asked then what induced them to do so, and when they replied that it was love for ALLAAH and His Messenger, he said “If any one wishes to love ALLAH and His Messenger, or rather to have ALLAH and His Messenger love him, he should speak the truth when he tells anything, fulfils his trust when he is put in a position of trust, and be a good neighbour.” [Baihaqi]
