Aspersion

Hadrat Abu Hurariah (Radi Allahu Ta’ala Anhu) narrated that the Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, “One who makes an accusation against his slave (servant), though he is innocent, i.e. he has not committed that sin, then ALLAH, the Almighty will on the day of judgement apply whips on his back. He also said, “Attributing a vice to some one who does not have it is ‘bohtan’ (aspersion). One should desist for it.” [Abu Dawud]
