Helping one being slandered

Hadrat Anas (Radi Allahu Ta’ala Anhu) narrated the Prophet (Sallaflahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) as saying, “If any one’s Muslim brother is slandered in his presence when he is able to help him and he does so, ALLAH will help him in this world and the next; but if he does not help him when he is able to do so, ALLAH will punish him in this world and the next.” [Sharh as - Sunnah]
