HIS HAVING THE HEAD SHAVED

Hadrat Anas bin Malik (Radi Allaahu Ta’ala Anhu) narrated that when the Prophet came to Mina he went to the Jamrah and threw pebbles at it, after which he went to his lodging in Mina and sacrificed the animals marked for this purpose. He then called for a barber, and turning his right side to him, he let him shave him. He then called Abu Talha Ansari (Radi Allaahu Ta’ala Anhu) and gave him what had been shaved off, after which he turned his left side telling the barber to shave him, and when he had done so, he gave to Abu Talha what had been shaved off and told him to divide it among the people.
