REWARD FOR SACRIFICING

Hadrat Zaid bin Argam (Radi Allaahu Ta’ala Anhu) narrated: The Companions asked the Prophet, ‘O Prophet of ALLAAH! What is this thing called sacrifice? He replied, ‘It is the way of your (geneological or spiritual) father Ibrahim. They said, O Prophet of ALLAAH! What do we get out of it? He replied, One good deed for every hair (of the sacrificed animal). They further asked, if the animal be a wool bearing animal? He replied, One good deed for every fibre of wool.’ [Hakim]
