SADAQAT -UL- FITR

Hadrat Amr bin Shuaib (May ALLAAH bless him) on his father’s authority said his grandfather told that the Prophet sent some one to announce in the ravines of Makkah, “The sadaqah relating to the breaking of the fast is incumbent on every Muslim, male or female, freeman or slave, young or old; consisting of Two mudds (about 1 ¾ kilos of wheat or such like or a Sa’a (slightly more than 3¼ kilos) of grain.” [Tirmizi]
