Hadrat Ibn Abbas (Radi Allaahu Ta’ala Anhu) narrated ALLAAH’s messenger as saying “I was not commanded to build high mosque.” lbn Abbas (by way of foretelling) said, “You will certainly ornament your mosques as the Jews and Christians did.” [Abu Dawud]
Hadrat Abdullah lbn Abbas (Radi Allaahu Ta’ala Anhu) narrated ALLAAH’s messenger as saying,
I can foresee a time when I will be no more among you and you will make your mosques quite as ornamented as the Jews have made their synagogues and the Christians their churches. [Ibn Majah Marful Hadis]
