ISTIGHFAR SALAAH

Hadrat Ali (Radi Allaahu Ta’ala Anhu) narrated: Abu Bakar Siddiqui told me, and Abu Bakar spoke the truth, that he heard ALLAAH’s messenger say, No one will commit a sin, then get up and purify himself, then pray, then ask ALLAAH’s forgiveness without ALLAAH forgiving him.

Then he recited,

‘And those who, when they do something to be ashamed of or who wrong themselves remember ALLAAH and ask forgiveness for their sins.’ (3/1 35) [Tirmizi]
