Hadrat Jabir (Radi AllaahU Ta’ala Anhu) narrated that It was the Prophet’s custom not to go to sleep till he had recited   “Blessed is He in whose hand is the kingdom” and “Alif - Lam - Meem Tanzil” [Mishkat]
